Christine Ho | Education Chair
Hi friends! My name is Christine and I am an upcoming senior who is majoring Molecular and Cell Biology, with a minor in Toxicology. I’m an Oregon native who loves to bake sweet treats, randomly jam out to music and have spontaneous dance parties.I was just abroad last semester in Barcelona which allowed me to foster the travel bug that I have, and I was able to develop my Spanish skills as well (hablamos en espanol?). I’m an avid concert goer who can spend hours on SoundCloud, grooving to my favorite songs and discovering new artists and songs. At Cal, I have been involved with many volunteering organizations such as the Berkeley Project, Circle K and Suitcase Clinic. I have hopes of entering into the public health or medical field once I graduate because I would like to be able help communities increase quality and access to healthcare.
I was a club swimmer for a couple of years and did high school swimming where I mainly did the sprint freestyle events, so these long open water swims are quite the struggle for me! I loved swimming but once I got to high school and joined the cross country, I fell in love with running. So once I got to college, I knew I definitely wanted to find something that could combine these two loves of mine and triathlon was the answer! I have only been on the team for about 2 years now, but please come to me about any questions! I am pretty well versed on how to recover from an injury (broke my wrists biking and I’m also sure I have chronic shin splints), what the best meals are to eat pre- and post-race as well as anything tri-related (feel free to ask me anything about my other interests as well)! Looking forward to a great year with Cal Tri and making new friends on the team 😀
